SAGINAW, MI - Saginaw Transit Authority and Regional Services, or STARS, has ended its capacity limits put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Effective immediately as of Monday, June 7, STARS buses can now seat as riders as they have space for, according to a news release.
The service previously limited the number of riders on its buses and rolled back services where necessary to minimize the risk of COVID-19 exposure and continue its operations while dealing with an employee shortage.
All passengers are still required to wear masks on buses regardless of vaccination status, according to the release.
As of May 15, STARS temporarily ended Saturday lift services because of its employee shortage. The service is currently hiring for multiple positions.
