A pedestrian has died after she was struck by a school bus in Guttenberg on Thursday morning.
The accident happened shortly before 8 am at the intersection of Herder Street and South 2nd Street. The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office says the school bus was turning south onto 2nd Street when it struck a woman who was trying to cross the street.
The woman, 66-year old Judy Puls of Guttenberg, died from her injuries.
The school bus driver, 73-year old Ronnie Moser of Guttenberg, was not hurt.
St. Mary School in Guttenberg says there were students from St. Mary’s and Clayton Ridge on the school bus at the time of the accident.
The collision remains under investigation.
