RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WFXG) - Eight students and a bus driver were transported to a hospital this morning following a crash involving a Richmond County School bus.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff's office, deputies responded to the scene on the 5000 block of Deans Bridge Road at 5:54 a.m.
Officials say while the bus was stopped and picking up a student, a 2021 Chevy Silverado struck the rear-end of the school bus while a student was loading. According to the Sheriff's office, the driver says he sneezed and was not able to see the bus.
The driver of the school bus and eight students were transported to a local hospital following complaints of neck and back pain. The driver of the Silverado was also injured and taken to a hospital.
