When the lockdowns started, millions of Americans began hitting the road. In America, car dealerships lobbied to be deemed essential, and those seeking a new automobile looked for the best way to buy a car during the pandemic as well as vehicles that could go the distance. And while RV travel became more popular than ever, finding a recreational vehicle to buy or rent was nearly impossible.

Electric vehicles remained popular, of course, with one EV outselling all of the others combined. And Forbes readers wanted to know the true cost of owning an EV as well as its environmental impact.

As for those who sought speed more than comfort, 2020 did not disappoint, featuring supercar launches from Maserati, Bugatti and McLaren.
