Nearly 50 cars were entered in the first area car show at the Victoria mall parking lot.
VICTORIA, Texas – Earlier today there was a special Crossroads Car Show at the Victoria mall parking lot. With many different car dealers like Victory KIA, Buick, and G.M.C.
The event started at 1:00 in the afternoon and went on until 4:00 o’ clock. There were cars, trucks, classic, antiques, and custom rods. Motorcycles were also a part of the show. Here’s more from the Car Clubs incoming vice president, Landon Bretz.
“We’re actually having our first ever car show and motorcycles for that matter. Pretty much, we’ve been having all vehicles from the crossroads area. As well as some from like different areas, such as San Antonio, Austin, and Houston. Pretty much just having everybody out here, having a good time, and enjoying this sweltering sun. And looking at these beautiful cars,” said Bretz.
Some awards included best of show, customization, and other categories. There were many cool and unique looking cars. One attendee, Bard Letsinger, had his 66′ convertible still with its original car parts intact.
“I’ve got a 66′ Mustang convertible, all not original but what they call code correct. Correct engine, correct transmission, correct paint. What it came with in 1966. I love coming out with cars, I love visiting with people, and it’s for Victoria Rotary Club. So it’s for a great cause. I believe they are benefitting the Vine school, which is a great school here. So, us car club guys, we just love coming out and showing our cars. Most of all we love helping other clubs and this community raise money for great things,” said Letsinger.
There was no admission fee and many people who attended the event really enjoyed themselves.
