Crash involving JTA bus, vehicle leaves two dead - WOKV

Jacksonville, Fl — FHP says two people died in a head-on crash involving a city bus on the Hart Bridge.

It happened just before 12:30 am today at Gator Bowl Blvd. Video from the scene shows a vehicle that looks like it was going the wrong way and struck a JTA bus head on.

According to an FHP crash report, a 28-year-old woman from Jacksonville and a 26-year-old female passenger died. Neither was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The SUV was traveling the wrong way at the time of the crash. The JTA bus was not in service at the time. The bus driver was not injured.
