A 63-year-old Chesterfield man was killed Saturday after his motorcycle crashed into a school bus stopped at an intersection in Hunterdon County, authorities said.
The victim was identified as Alex Harvilla, State Police said. There were no other injuries reported. In addition to the driver, the school bus was carrying 14 passengers.
The collision occurred at the corner of Route 31 and Rocktown Road in East Amwell just before 3:30 p.m. A State Police report said Harvilla’s Honda motorcycle was traveling south on Route 31 and was making a left turn on to Rocktown Road when it collided with the front of the bus. Harvilla was thrown from the motorcycle.
No other information was immediately reported, police said. The accident remains under investigation.
