The Livingston County Veterans Services is issuing ID cards for free trips on RTS buses. These passes are good for any route or routes that RTS services. This doesn’t apply to dial a ride services.
Any interested veterans need to contact VOC at 585-546-1081 in efforts to schedule an appointment at your facility on the dates we are on-site there

Client eligibility:
The client must be a veteran (this is not for family members of veterans)
Veteran must provide a DD214 no later than the time of service. OR, the veteran must have some proof of veteran status (VA ID card, for example) AND complete an SF180. VOC staff can help the veteran complete the SF180
Veteran must provide a photo ID at the time of service
Veteran must not be dishonorably discharged. We can create bus passes for all other discharge types
Veteran must complete VOC intake process
About the bus passes:
The passes are valid for a 3 year period
The passes will be valid for RURAL COUNTY use immediately
The veteran needs to clearly show the bus operator the pass when boarding the bus
They authorize FREE rides on RTS route services
They DO NOT authorize “Dial-a-Ride” services
The veteran must agree to having their picture taken when creating a bus pass. The bus pass cannot be produced without it
