The 72-year-old man killed in a crash in Lebanon County on Thursday was identified by the Lancaster County Coroner Friday, according to a media report.
Larry Schauer, 72, of Lebanon, died from his injuries at Lancaster General Hospital, WGAL reported. Schauer was driving a school bus when he was hit on Route 501 in Heidelberg Township.
A 7-year-old boy, 10-year-old boy, and 11 year-old-girls were traveling with him, according to Pennsylvania State Police said. They were treated for minor injuries.
The driver who hit Schauer, a 29-year-old man, was driving north when he crossed into oncoming traffic at about 4 p.m., state police said. The driver hit the bus near Route 501′s intersection with Michters Road.
The 29-year-old was also taken to Lancaster General, with minor injuries.
