START Bus’ summer schedule went into effect Saturday, with extended service hours for the more popular routes, including between Jackson and Teton Village, and Town Shuttle routes.
Notable changes to the summer START schedule include:
Teton Village Service: Local
Buses traveling between Miller Park in Jackson and Teton Village will run from 5:15 a.m. to 8:56 p.m., with the last bus departing Teton Village at 8:14 p.m., according to Carl Pelletier, Jackson’s public information officer.
The following stops will not be serviced by the Teton Village Local route prior to noon: Mike Yokel Park, Redmond Street and Hansen Avenue, St. John’s Hospital, Pearl Avenue and Jean Street, and Pearl Avenue and Glenwood Street.
Meanwhile, the following stops will not be serviced by the Teton Village Local route after noon throughout the summer: Antler Inn, Pearl Avenue and Jean Street, Broadway Avenue and Stormy Circle, Redmond Street and Hall Avenue, and Mike Yokel Park.
Town Shuttle
The Town Shuttle will also have extended service hours, beginning at 6 a.m. and extending till 9:58 p.m., with the last trip leaving Miller Park at 9:20 p.m.
Circulator
Circulator service will operate one bus, leaving three times per hour between 6 a.m. and 9:59 p.m., with the last trip leaving Miller Park at 9:40 p.m. The Circulator route will only service Pioneer Homestead on Rancher Street at 11 minutes after the hour, during each hour of service.
ADA Service
Americans with Disabilities Act service will operate between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Riders of the paratransit bus are asked to schedule rides at least 24 hours in advance by calling START Bus at (307) 413-4548.
Federal Mask Mandate
Riders are reminded that there is still a federal mask mandate in effect for all public transit systems nationwide due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Face coverings must be worn on all START buses, at all bus stops and shelters, and wherever START tickets and passes are sold.
