Fans wishing to get their first look at a full-size model of the 2022 Formula 1 car will et their chance on July 15 when the model is unveiled at Silverstone, England, ahead of the F1 British Grand Prix weekend.
The unveiling was teased on Monday on the official Formula 1 website along with F1 social media platforms. The first look will take place at 13:30 UTC (9:30 a.m. ET) at F1.com along with the F1 YouTube and F1 Facebook channels.

The car is to feature 18-inch wheels (an increase from the current 13 inches) and a ground effects package designed to reduce need for a large rear wing. The reduction in size of the rear wing is intended to reduce the dirty air behind a car an encourage more overtaking.
Images of the car were said to be leaked to Italian website LiveGT.it for a story published in June.
"F1 begins an exciting new chapter in 2022 when the current rulebook is ripped up and a radical new set of regulations come into force – all designed to produce even more spectacular racing," F1 said on its website today. "And the new era will officially kick off on Thursday at Silverstone with F1 One Begins, a dynamic event that will take fans on a journey through the ages before arriving at the most futuristic racing car of all-time."
