JACKSON COUNTY, MI -- Need a ride to the polls on Election Day? The Jackson Area Transportation Authority has you covered.
JATA is providing free bus rides to voting passengers on Tuesday, Nov. 3, to ensure Jackson residents can get out and vote, Community Relations Manager Chad Cumberworth said.
Riders should show their voter registration card when boarding the bus for the ride to the polling place, then show their “I voted” sticker to get a ride back home, Cumberworth said.
“JATA wants to assure as many people have access to the polling stations as possible," Cumberworth said in a statement.
Polls open on Election Day at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
