MIAMI – The man who was found shot dead next to a Miami-Dade County Transit bus on Wednesday night has been identified as 33-year-old Brandon Bennett, Miami police say.
According to authorities, it was approximately 7 p.m. when they received the call to the area of Northwest 36th Street and 30th Avenue.
It’s unclear if the man was shot inside the bus and then dragged out into the street, or if something happened inside the bus that spilled out into the street and that’s where the shooting happened.
Miami Fire Rescue workers arrived and declared the man dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives on Thursday morning were still investigating what led up to the shooting.
Police have not said whether anyone is in custody or if there are any suspects.
