FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - One person has died after their car went into the river off West Jefferson Blvd near Sweeney Park.
Eastbound lanes on Jefferson Blvd were shut down for a few hours while police determined the cause of the crash.
Police say it appears the vehicle was traveling westbound and for some unknown reason left the roadway and entered the river. There were no other vehicles involved and no other injuries.
Investigators will be taking measurements and interviewing any witnesses to determine why the vehicle left the roadway.
