Rochester Public Transit will follow a modified schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, Rochester buses will run according to the schedule for morning peak and daytime service. Evening service will follow an abbreviated schedule with Routes 21 through 26 operating just the first scheduled departure at 7:15 p.m. after which service will end.
Christmas Day and New Year’s Day will follow posted weekend and holiday schedules on Routes 21 through 26.
Service to park-and-ride lots will also change on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve:
- The last 18D to IBM park and ride will depart downtown at 8:14 p.m. and St. Marys at 8:17 p.m.
- The last 6D to Fairgrounds Park & Ride will depart St. Marys at 8:15 p.m. and downtown at 8:21 p.m.
- The last 1D to Chateau Park & Ride will depart downtown at 5:25 p.m. and St. Marys at 5:29 p.m. Route 1 will continue to serve Chateau with trips departing at 5:45 p.m., 6:15 p.m., and 6:45 p.m. departing from downtown only (no St. Marys stop). Route 21 will be the last trip to Chateau, departing downtown only at 7:15.
- The last 3D to Rochester Community and Technical College will depart at 5:50 p.m. from St Marys and 5:53 p.m. from downtown. After that, Route 3 will provide service, with trips departing downtown only (no St. Marys stop) at 6:15 p.m., 6:45 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 7:45 p.m., and 8:15 p.m.
