FLINT, MI -- A bus ran through the side of a downtown Flint building after colliding with an SUV Sunday afternoon.
A crash involving a GMC Yukon and a Flint Metro Transportation Authority bus at the intersection of Saginaw and Third streets at about 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, left the bus in the side of downtown’s Paterson building and the Yukon crumpled in the center of the intersection.
Police confirmed that the crash occurred on scene and said there were injuries, but declined to say the number or severity of injuries.
Witnesses at the scene said the Yukon was traveling at a high speed south on Saginaw Street when it allegedly ran a red light, striking the MTA bus, which was traveling east on Third Street. The witnesses said they watched police remove the driver of the Yukon from the vehicle.
