Garages are good to hold all types of treasures and toys. Some tricked-out garages have car lifts so two vehicles can be stacked to save floor space. Special towers are used to store RVs.
The Lake Oswego house, built in 2018, has exterior siding of cultured stone, wood and metal. Inside are reclaimed stenciled beams. Wood was also salvaged from massive water tank staves and old structures, adding warmth and casual elegance to the modern design, says Hoag.
The Athena emblem on display was rescued from the original American Automobile Association (AAA) building in San Francisco, Hoag adds.
The 4,400-square foot dwelling has a living room, great room with kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two powder rooms. Large windows draw in natural light and a courtyard allows for al fresco entertaining.
Sharing the 0.59-acre, fenced property is a covered outdoor entertainment space with a built-in barbecue. A seating area circles a fire pit and there is an in-ground hot tub.
