Cortland County Sheriff’s officials are continuing to investigate a threat a school bus.
Officials say, at 9:05 a.m. December 8, a school bus driver heading to the Otsego, Cortland, Madison BOCES overheard students talking about a bomb on the bus and notified authorities.
OCM BOCES immediately implemented a “hold-in-place” order until the bus and surrounding area could be checked.
No device was found. A juvenile who made the statement has been identified.
Sheriff’s officials were being assisted by the Cortland Police Department, University Police at SUNY Cortland and the Cortlandville Fire Department.
