UPDATE 12/30 4:15 a.m. - Illinois State Police dispatchers confirm all eastbound lanes are reopen to traffic.
UPDATE 11:20 - An East Peoria Police Department squad car was hit by a vehicle on I-74 Eastbound Wednesday night, according to Illinois State Police. The officer in the car was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to ISP, the officer was assisting with traffic control on a previous crash when his vehicle was hit. The officer was inside his squad car with his emergency lights on.
PEORIA (HEART OF ILLINOIS ABC) - Illinois State Police said the eastbound lanes of Interstate 74 were closed late Wednesday night after a crash in Tazewell County.
Police said they were diverting traffic on eastbound 74 from the Peoria side of the Murray Baker Bridge to mile-marker 95 at East Peoria.
No details were available about the crash, including if there were any injuries.
