BOARDMAN — A Columbiana County woman claims she was kidnapped by a man who drove his vehicle into a Boardman apartment Tuesday morning.
David Turner, 30, of Hubbard, is accused of driving his vehicle into an occupied apartment in the 7400 block of Huntington Drive at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, a police report states. An officer was behind the car when it ran a stop sign at Pheasant Drive and Huntington Drive prior to the crash. No one in the apartment was injured.
According to the report, Turner attempted to reverse out of the building. The officer stopped and saw a woman later identified as Brittany Satterfield, 30, of Lisbon, screaming in the back seat of the car. Satterfield told police Turner had kidnapped her from a gas station in Boardman, according to the report. The report states Turner told police he has known Satterfield for the past six months and they had been “hanging out.”
Police found crack pipes, a spoon and hypodermic needles in Satterfield’s possession. She was questioned by a detective and released on summons on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, the report said.
Shortly after crashing, Turner passed out and was revived with naloxone, and was taken to a local hospital. According to the report, he told police he administered heroin before driving.
He was charged with OVI, a stop sign violation and driving with a suspended license. A records check by police found warrants for Turner out of Trumbull County and Campbell, according to the report.
