The man fatally struck by an MTA bus in Staten Island was identified by cops early Tuesday.
Patrick Meehan, 63, was attempting to cross Hylan Boulevard at the intersection of Ebbitts Avenue in New Dorp, in the crosswalk but against the light, just after 10 p.m. Monday when an oncoming SIM1C bus struck him, police said.
Meehan, of Tottenville, was taken to Staten Island University Hospital North, where he was pronounced dead.
The 49-year-old bus driver stayed on scene, cops said.
No arrests had been made by early Tuesday, and police are continuing to investigate the incident.
