The altercation occurred on Feb. 3. It began on a bus and resulted in the 69-year-old victim being dragged onto the sidewalk at Geary and Larkin streets and shoved to the ground.

The victim, Henry Kemp of San Francisco, was hospitalized until his March 8 death from his injuries, police said. The city medical examiner’s office ruled the death a homicide.
