The Hot Springs Cruisers car club has delayed its 25th annual car show due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the show's sponsors have already provided their sponsorship money.

As a result, at its May meeting, the club's membership voted to immediately donate $2,500 to Potter's Clay, a home for women and children in crisis, according to Brodie Wolstenholme, Hot Springs Cruisers president.

"Potter's Clay Ministries would like to thank the Hot Springs Cruisers and all of the generous sponsors of the annual car show. The COVID-19 outbreak has financially affected all ministries and we are very grateful for this donation. This gift helps us to continue to minister to women and children in crisis situations," Mike Brakebill, executive director of Potter's Clay Ministries, said in a news release.

"We would like to express our gratitude to our sponsors for enabling the Hot Springs Cruisers to make this much-needed donation: Medley's Drywall Inc.; Allen Tillery Chevrolet, Buick & GMC; O'Reilly's Auto Parts; Golden's Paint Shop; Bob's Mini Storage; Hot Springs Realty Team Thomason; Laryssa Calley Shelter Insurance; R & M Collision Center; Mike's Car Restoration; Umphers Construction Company; Vince Wellman -- Home Care Specialist and Alex Strawn State Farm Insurance," the release said.

"We look forward to hosting our 25th car show at the Hot Springs municipal airport later this year," it said.
