BEACHWOOD, Ohio -- Aggravated menacing: Brentwood Road
At 12:40 p.m. June 21, police cited a Willoughby Hills man, 30, with aggravated menacing after a witness saw him use his Jeep to twice ram and damage the back of his ex-fiance’s car as it was parked in a residential driveway.
Disturbance: Cedar Road
At 3:40 p.m. June 17, police were called to the parking lot outside of Saks Fifth Avenue at Beachwood Place mall, 26300 Cedar Road. When officers arrived, they found two women, one with her head on the shoulder of the other.
Minutes earlier, the women had created a disturbance inside the mall by arguing and shouting at each other. Although the women had patched up their difference by the time police found them, they were, nonetheless, each issued a trespass warning and were banned from the mall for one year. The women, 18 and 23, both live in Cleveland.
Receiving stolen property: Chagrin Boulevard
At 11:40 a.m. June 17, a Cleveland man, 38, was charged with receiving stolen property after he was found in possession of $6.13 worth of stolen goods from Giant Eagle, 24601 Chagrin Blvd. The man was also cited for trespassing stemming from a prior trespass warning he had received at Giant Eagle.
Criminal mischief: Campus Road
At 10:05 p.m. June 18, police arrested and charged a Beachwood man, 51, with criminal mischief after the man threw a raw egg at a security vehicle parked near his home. The man was upset because he had been told by the security guard, an off-duty police officer, that he couldn’t park his car partially upon a sidewalk.
Theft: Cedar Road
At 2:50 p.m. June 17, police arrested a Cleveland Heights man, 25, for stealing merchandise valued at $623.50 from Dillard’s at Beachwood Place.
Warrant arrest: Cedar Road
At 3:05 p.m. June 17, a traffic stop was conducted after an officer saw that the owner of a passing car was wanted on a warrant. The car’s owner, a Streetsboro woman, 28, was a passenger in the car. The woman was arrested on the warrant.
The car’s driver, a Twinsburg man, also 28, was cited for driving with a suspended license.
Indecent exposure: Cedar Road
At 2:15 p.m. June 18, police cited a Cleveland man, 56, for indecent exposure after the man was seen urinating in the Saks Fifth Avenue parking lot. The man was also charged with criminal trespassing.
Warrant arrest: Cedar Road
At 4:45 p.m. June 18, a traffic stop was conducted after it was found that the owner of a passing car was wanted on a warrant. The driver, a Cleveland woman, 24, was arrested on the warrant. She also charged with receiving stolen property after being found in possession of $1,052.55 worth of merchandise stolen that day from Dillard’s.
Dillard’s video surveillance footage tied the woman to the theft crime.
Theft: Bryden Road
At 6:40 p.m. June 18, a man, 97, reported that $4,500 worth of sterling silver had been stolen from his home. The man told police that relatives, health care workers and others had been in his home in recent times.
Handicap parking violation: Cedar Road
At 2:50 p.m. June 19, a Bedford woman, 69, was cited for using a parking spot reserved for the handicapped at Beachwood Place. The woman had used a handicapped parking placard that had been reported to the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles as stolen.
