A Penndel Borough woman has been accused of stealing a neighbor’s car keys at knife-point.
Police said they were called on Saturday, May 23 for a report that a borough resident had their car stolen.
The resident told responding officers her upstairs neighbor – Anna Laura Stettler, 28 – had come down to borrow some money for food. As the woman went to grab some money for Stettler, the 28-year-old walked in the apartment and asked to borrow the resident’s car. The woman relied “no” and Stettler pulled a knife and took the woman’s car keys, according to a police press release.
Stettler left the area in the woman’s car, police said.
The day after the robbery, Stettler was located at her residence in the borough and arrested, police said.
Stettler was found to have suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia on her at the time of her arrest, police said.
Stettler was charged with robbery of a motor vehicle, terroristic threats, and two counts of robbery. She was arraigned and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $70,000.
