A bicyclist died early Thursday morning after being hit by a car, Louisville Police say.
The cyclist, a 57-year-old, was hit by a car traveling south on 22nd Street in Louisville as he attempted to cross Garland Avenue around 1 a.m.
According to police spokeswoman Beth Ruoff, the vehicle left the scene going south.
The bicyclist, who was identified by the coroner as George Bell, was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital in critical condition, where he later died, Ruoff said.
Anyone who has information can report it to the police tip line at 502-574-5673. The police say they don't have suspects and called it a hit-and-run.
