Car, bike accident, departmental information: Shaker Boulevard
A Pepper Pike woman, 44, told police she was fine around 10:30 a.m. on July 12 after she was sideswiped by the passenger side mirror of a passing 2007 Chevrolet at the top of a hill in the 38000 block of Shaker.
The driver of the car, a Novelty (Russell Township) man, 69, also headed westbound, provided her his phone number and offered to have his insurance pay for anything she might need after being struck in the hip. This resulted in no further police action. The cyclist said she just wanted to document the location where the accident occurred.

Police and a Chagrin Falls rescue squad responded to a report of a male having a possible allergic reaction to a bee sting shortly after 10 a.m. on July 6, with no Epi-Pen (epinephrine) readily available. He was taken to Ahuja Medical Center for further treatment within about 20 minutes.
Suspicion, departmental information: SOM Center Road
A security guard watching cameras at University School on July 8 shortly after midnight noticed a dark-colored two-door sedan by the pods and the west pavilion. The car appeared to be leaving but the guard could not see it backing out yet. Police checked the campus and could not locate the car in question.
On the afternoon of July 11, security left a phone message reporting that the school gate on Fairmount Boulevard was not functioning so they were keeping it locked until it could be fixed.
Animal-miscellaneous: Mather Lane
A resident reported July 13 that their cat, a white and gray male named Eddy, had now been missing for 11 days.
