One person was killed and several were injured when a Greyhound bus carrying 30 passengers was struck by a pickup while traveling east on U.S. 277 Monday afternoon.
Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Dan Buesing said the bus was about eight miles east of Seymour on U.S 277 when it was involved in a collision with the pickup, which was traveling south on Highway 183.
The bus rolled onto its passenger side when it was struck in the rear, killing one passenger and injuring several when it slid off the roadway and into a ditch.
Three people were airlifted from the scene, two individuals went to hospitals in Fort Worth and one individual was carried to a hospital in Wichita Falls. Others with injuries were transported by ambulance to hospitals in Seymour and Wichita Falls.
Buesing said they have not yet Identified the person who was killed.
The driver of the pickup was taken to the hospital in Seymour with non-life-threatening injuries.
Buesing said the wreck is under investigation but no charges were pending as of Monday evening.
