Property damage: Miles Road
A call came directly into the police station shortly before 11 p.m. on Sept. 14 about a car hitting a garbage can in the 37100 block of Miles on the north (westbound) side of the road between Look About Lodge and Country View Lane.
A suspect vehicle could not be immediately located and the garbage was cleaned up by the resident.
Theft from vehicle: South Woodland Road
A Cleveland Heights woman reported shortly before 7 p.m. on Sept. 19 that her car, parked near the entrance to the South Chagrin Reservation Polo Fields, had been broken into and her purse stolen. The investigation was turned over to Cleveland Metroparks Rangers.
Traffic complaint: Chagrin Boulevard
A caller reported around 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 15 that there was a vehicle in the Brady Middle School parking lot burning rubber and doing doughnuts. The call initially went to Beachwood police and the suspect was gone by the time police arrived.
Theft (free text): SOM Center Road
Police responded to a report of a political sign being stolen from a yard in the 4200 block of Route 91 between Mitchell Lane and Jackson Road (northbound lane, on the east side of the roadway) around 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 19. The suspect was believed to have been driving a Mercedes Benz.
Traffic complaint: Skyline Drive
Police responded to a complaint of cars speeding up and down the residential street around 6:45 p.m. on Sept. 19, but could not locate the suspects.
