Another woman reported that $200 in cash had been removed from her 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe while it was parked in the driveway.

After taking the report, an officer drove past the Impala parked in a driveway one block south and found the key fob in the console.

Detectives were alerted to the theft of the cash and other items from the other car, and police planned to check a neighbor’s surveillance cameras to see if anything suspicious was recorded.

The parents only wanted a report filed with police but said that further incidents could lead them to file charges.

Assist fire department, damage to private property: Chagrin Boulevard

Officers assisted on Sept. 4 at the Shell True North gas station with a Kia Sorento that became fully engulfed in flames. The car was listed as a rental out of Wickliffe, leased to a woman who later told police she did not know who was driving and she had rented it for someone she shouldn’t have, adding that she also wanted to take responsibility for the crash.

Trespassing, warrant: Park Avenue

Police responded to Pinstripes around 11 a.m. on Sept. 4, where a man wearing all black was reportedly found inside the walk-in freezer. The suspect was later observed running behind Citizen Yoga and was soon found near Firebirds.
