HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, MI -- A 31-year-old is recovering from injuries after being struck by a car Monday afternoon.
The pedestrian was transported to Holland Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s office.
At 1:36 p.m. on Nov. 23, deputies were dispatched to a traffic crash involving a car and a pedestrian. The crash occurred on James Street, east of Briarwood Drive in Holland Township, according to a news release from police.
The investigation shows that a 49-year-old female from Holland was driving a 2008 Acura westbound on James Street, police said in the news release. As the Holland pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway from north to south, she walked into the path of the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office. The pedestrian told police she did not see the vehicle, the news release stated.
The driver was not injured.
American Medical Response assisted in responding to the incident.
