Police: Car thieves nabbed after ‘extensive’ foot chase in Hartford - CTPost

HARTFORD — Two juveniles were taken into custody after an “extensive” foot chase in the city over the weekend, according to police.

Lt. Paul C. Cicero said a stolen Land Rover was taken from Hopkinton, Mass., “with two juveniles at the helm” on Saturday.

He said the Land Rover was spotted Saturday night in Hartford — roughly 75 miles from where it was initially taken.

The city’s auto theft detectives moved in on the car, leading to what Cicero said was an “extensive” chase on foot. Police detained and arrested both juveniles.

As a reminder, Cicero urged residents to lock their vehicles and take any keys or valuables out of the vehicle.
