OAKLAND — A car that had just collided with an AC Transit bus in Chinatown early Saturday careened into a bakery, authorities said.

The car driver was injured and taken to a hospital. His condition was not available. No one aboard the bus was injured.

The collision happened at about 12:12 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 11th and Webster streets.

Police said a Ford Fusion driven by a 25-year-old man was going southbound on Webster Street when it collided with the bus that was going eastbound on 11th Street. The impact sent the car crashing into the Cam Huang Bakery, 1088 Webster St., which was closed at the time.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
