The Cane Island Car Show is set to impress on Saturday, April 17, with vintage, classic and exotic cars, live music, food trucks and activities for children.
The fourth annual event is slated for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Katy home community’s Cane Quarter at 2100 Cane Island Parkway. It will be free and open to the public.
The car show is designed to delight classic car lovers to people just wanting to spend some time outside with their families. The Cane Quarter parking lot will feature a variety of cars that visitors can view up close, and their owners will be around to chat about them. Photos will be encouraged.
Aside from the cars, families can take advantage of a rock wall, bounce houses, corn hole, live music and eats from food trucks ready for purchase. They can also vote for Most Unique, Best Classic, Best Exotic and Best Overall cars. Winners will receive $1,000 cash prizes and trophies.
“Over the years, we’ve had some amazing cars on display, from the classics of yesteryear to futuristic cars of tomorrow,” said Lawren Eckhardt, director of marketing for Cane Island. “We’re expecting another big turnout this year.”
During their visit to Cane Island, families can tour the Cane Quarter amenity village and the community’s showcase model homes, which are all fully furnished and decorated.
To find the Cane Island Car Show, exit Cane Island Parkway off I-10, 10 minutes west of the Grand Parkway. Travel north on Cane Island Parkway and follow the roadway directly into the community.
