Oxnard police are warning residents that car thieves are targeting a particular model vehicle.
It's 1999 and 2000 model year Toyota 4-Runners.
They say four have been stolen in just the past three days.
Police are suggesting that owners of those, and other vehicles for that matter, take steps to make it harder for thieves to steal vehicles.
They say first, do not leave your car unlocked and unattended and definitely do not leave it unlocked, unattended with the keys in the ignition or the motor running.
Make sure you remove all valuables from inside the vehicle.
Also, look into anti-theft devices like a car alarm or devices like the Club.
Finally, park the vehicle in the garage or in a well-lit area and locked.
