A bus full of New York prisoners went up in flames in the Hudson Valley near I-84.
On Friday around 8 p.m., 911 reported a New York State Department of Corrections transport bus was on fire in the area of Route 9D and Dogwood Lane in the Town of Fishkill.

A bus full of New York prisoners went up in flames in the Hudson Valley near I-84.
It was also reported inmates were fighting with NYS Corrections Officers. Nearly 30 inmates were on the bus when the fire broke out.
Cellphone video shot by Freddie Beltran, obtained by Hudson Valley Post, shows the fiery scene on Route 9D, just north of Interstate 84 in Fishkill. You can see videos from the scene above.
Fights also reportedly broke out between inmates and corrections officers, according to Rockland Video.
Town of Fishkill Police Officers responded and requested assistance, they were immediately assisted by the New York State Police, Troop K, F and Thruway, Town of East Fishkill Police, Town of Poughkeepsie Police, Town of Newburgh Police, MTA Police, the Dutchess County Sheriffs Department, City of Beacon Police and the Village of Wappingers Police.
New York State Department of Corrections Officers responded from Downstate Correctional Facility.
The bus fire was extinguished by The Chelsea and Castle Point Fire Departments, also on the scene were Mobile Life, Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Town of Newburgh Ambulance and Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
Two inmates were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries, police say. Rockland Video reports one inmate suffered a severe head injury.
The remaining 25 inmates were transferred to several other buses and transported to Downstate Correctional Facility.
A mechanical issue is believed to have been the cause of the bus fire.
