A local developer paid $825,000 for a one-acre parcel in front of the Publix Super Market at Riviera Square in Foley, and plans to build Tidal Wave Auto Spa car wash, according to Robert Cook and Kenny Nichols of Vallas Realty, who handled the transaction. Tidal Wave offers a high-end express wash and this will be the first Tidal Wave location in Alabama.
Boom Performance has leased 3,000 square feet of space at 506 Fairhope Ave., in Fairhope, according to Sharon Wright of White-Spunner Realty. Boom Performance is owned by KJ Minniefield, a local personal trainer. The business will offer small group training, semi-private and private training for people of all ages.
Town & Co. Salon, a hair salon, is scheduled to open early next month in 850 square feet of space at the corner of St. Michael and N. Royal streets on the street level of the Merchants Plaza garage in Mobile, according to Josh W. Hall and Allan R. Cameron Jr. of NAI Mobile, who handle commercial leasing for the Merchants Plaza building. Becca Townley Snell is the owner of the new hair salon.
Mobile based RE/MAX Realty Professionals has expanded to the Eastern Shore and leased 4,212 square feet of office space at 30179 Eastern Shore Court in Spanish Fort,off Interstate 10 and Ala. 181, according to Sharon Wright of White-Spunner Realty, who represented RE/MAX. The franchise owners are Leanne Carpenter and Donna Gardner. The office will accommodate more than 50 Realtors, a mortgage company and a title business. Frank Berry will serve as qualifying broker and manager. Robert Cook of Vallas Realty represented the landlord.
Developers have appealed the Orange Beach Planning Commission’s denial of a planned 9,100-square-foot Dollar General store on Canal Road in Orange Beach, just west of Bear Point Plaza, according to city records. A public hearing will be held Oct. 20. One of the issues is the size of the delivery trucks accessing the site.
