Three people are in serious condition after a crash Saturday night in Bethlehem, according to the city police chief.
Chief Mark DiLuzio said the three were injured in a crash at 9:15 p.m. in the 3200 block of Schonersville Road.
The road was closed at City Line Road until 7:30 a.m. Sunday, July 12, he said. The city’s accident reconstruction team and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s office continue to investigate the crash, DiLuzio said.
Three cars were involved and two were seriously damaged, according to a witness.
One car was flipped over with parts of its body missing or severely dented. Burn marks on the remaining portion of the body are consistent with scanner reports of a car fire. The second car sustained serious front-end damage. Another car sustained minor damage, the witness said.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information is asked to call the Bethlehem Police Department at 610-865-7000.
