VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Someone was killed after being hit by a car in the area of 68th and Atlantic Avenue Friday night.
Dispatchers received the call for an auto-pedestrian crash in the area at 10:02 p.m.
Officers arrived on scene and found a man who had been hit by a vehicle. EMS personnel also responded to help the victim, but he died on scene.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene with police.
This case is still very active, and the road between 68th to 70th Street are expected to be closed for the next few hours while police investigate. While traffic is passable on the feeder roads, police ask that you avoid the area.
This case remains under investigation by members of the Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT).
There is no further information.
