Metro officials said they expect the schedule to remain in place until December, WJLA reported.
After scaling back its train and bus services in March to limit the spread of COVID-19, Metro is set to expand its hours again by August, WJLA reported Monday.
Starting Aug. 16, Metrorail stations, which have been closing daily at 9 p.m., will be open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays, and peak times will return with trains coming every 8 minutes, WJLA reported. Bus services will also return on Aug. 23, with buses running from 4 a.m. to midnight, according to WJLA.
