A man is dead after police say he attempted to rob an armed individual at a Roseville car wash.
Police believe that about 7 p.m. Tuesday a patron at the Wash Pointe Car Wash, 26015 Gratiot Avenue, was approached by two people, according to a release from the Roseville Police Department.
The two produced a handgun and attempted to rob the male patron, police said. The patron was armed and exchanged gunfire with one of the suspected would-be robbers.
One of the two, a young man about 18-years-old, was shot in the exchange and later pronounced dead at a hospital, Roseville Deputy Police Chief Mitch Berlin said in an email.
