ROSEVILLE, MI – A 16-year-old died Tuesday night while allegedly attempting to rob a man at gunpoint at a car wash.
Two suspects allegedly approached a 30-year-old Roseville man sitting in his vehicle around 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Wash Point Car Wash in Roseville, FOX 2 Detroit reports. One of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun and attempted to rob the man. The man then pulled out his own handgun and fired at the suspects.
The Detroit 16-year-old was wounded by the gunfire, the report said. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
The victim who fired shots has a concealed pistol license, the report said. Police released him after a preliminary investigation.
Police have not yet identified or arrest the second suspect who fled the scene on foot, the report said.
