Police: Man fatally shot after dispute with bus driver in northwest Miami-Dade - WPLG Local 10

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was fatally shot Monday morning at the Golden Glades Park & Ride following a dispute with a bus driver, authorities confirmed.

According to Miami-Dade police Detective Argemis “AC” Colome, the man got onto a bus at 16000 NW Seventh Ave. just before 7:30 a.m.

Colome said the man got into a dispute with the bus driver and was subsequently kicked off the bus.

“Once he gets off the bus, he immediately gets into a vehicle of a Miami-Dade supervisor that was on the scene, (he) has a dispute with him and somehow manages to get back inside the bus,” Colome said.

Police said the transit supervisor, who just happened to be parked nearby, was likely startled when the man hopped into the back seat.

The man eventually got out of the car and returned to the bus. This time, the bus driver and the transit supervisor called for security.

“Once the female security officer arrives on scene, she goes inside the bus, locates the individual, a confrontation ensued, she discharges her firearm and he was pronounced deceased on the scene,” Colome said.

Miami-Dade police shut down the entire Park & Ride center after the shooting and other buses and cars were rerouted.

The man’s identity has not yet been released.
