Teen bicyclist struck by car in Ridgewood, hospitalized with major injuries - NorthJersey.com

A 13-year-old boy has been hospitalized with significant injuries after being struck by a car in Ridgewood on Saturday night.

The boy was riding a bicycle on East Ridgewood Avenue near the Paramus border when he was hit by a car operated by an 18-year-old woman, said Lt. Heath James. The accident occurred near the Wild Duck Pond around 8 p.m.

The boy sustained “significant injuries” and was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, Heath said. The accident is under investigation, and no other details were immediately available.
