A car jumped the curb just after 8 a.m. Monday, ran over a fire hydrant and slammed into a home in Phillipsburg.
No one appeared to be injured, according to a report from the scene.
The crash was on a Phillipsburg Housing Authority property just off the 400 block of Roseberry Street and south of Fisher Avenue.
The car broke through a door and did damage to a wall facing the street at an angle.
A person in the home had to be brought out through a window, according to a report from the scene.
There is a railroad crossing about 100 yards south of the crash scene where drivers often lose control when heading north.
Town police were investigating and firefighters were assisting. They cleared the scene about 8:40 a.m.
Freelance photographer Tim Wynkoop reported from the scene.
