One student has been sent to the hospital after a collision between a school bus and a semi truck in Cache County.
Details about the student’s exact injuries was not available, but officials said they were transported as a precaution.
The crash happened Friday afternoon at the intersection of 100 N. Main Street in Smithfield.
An official with the Cache County School District told 2News the bus involved was from Green Canyon High School.
All the other students on board the bus were examined at the scene by first responders. District officials said a second bus was sent to the scene to collect the remaining students. They have all since been taken home.
Officials said the bus had been taking students home to Newton.
Traffic was moving slow through the area after officers shut down some lanes to allow first responders to work at the scene.
