Having a weapon under disability in a motor vehicle: Solon Road
At 3:20 p.m. July 30, police investigated a report of a man and woman fighting while inside a parked car. Officers went on to find a firearm inside the man’s car, as well as one gram of marijuana.
The man was arrested and charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and having a weapon under disability.
Theft from vehicle: Crabtree Lane
At 7:40 a.m. July 30, a resident reported the theft of personal items from his car, which had been parked overnight in his driveway. The vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft.
Theft: Outley Park Drive
At noon July 30, a resident reported a large sum of money stolen from his Key Bank account.
Menacing: Glenallen Avenue
At 4:15 a.m. Aug. 1, a woman reported that she was being harassed over the phone by a man who also threatened her boyfriend.
Drug paraphernalia possession: S.O.M. Center Road
At 11:20 p.m. Aug. 1, an officer stopped a car that did not have working taillights and that was speeding. A male and female were in the car. It was found that the male was driving with a temporary license without a licensed driver in the car.
Police cited the driver for the license violation, as well as for speeding and the non-working taillights. He was also cited for marijuana possession.
OVI: U.S. 422
At 11:40 p.m. Aug. 1, an officer stopped a car that was seen being driven without headlights and outside lane markers on U.S. 422 westbound. The man driving was found to be intoxicated.
Police arrested the man and charged him with OVI, driving without wearing a seatbelt, driving without illuminated headlights, driving an unsafe vehicle, driving with a suspended license and for a marked-lanes violation.
Fleeing and eluding: Aurora Road
At 9:20 p.m. Aug. 2, an officer attempted to stop a car that was speeding and that was displaying license plates that belonged to another vehicle. The driver did not stop, but has been identified. Police are seeking the man on a felony charge of fleeing and eluding.
OVI: Harper Road
At 9:10 p.m. Aug. 2, an officer stopped a car that did not have both license plates and whose driver had a suspended license. During the traffic stop, the man driving was found to be impaired.
Police charged the man with OVI, driving with a suspended license, failure to display license plates and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Domestic violence: S.O.M. Center Road
At 9 a.m. Aug. 3, a woman reported that she had been the victim of domestic violence, which resulted in the arrest of her husband.
