A woman in her 50s was killed early Monday after she was hit by a car on Beach Boulevard in Westminster, police said.
It was just after 4:40 a.m. when officers were called to a crash involving a pedestrian near 23rd Street. They found the woman in the southbound lanes and pronounced her dead at the scene, according to Cmdr. Alan Iwashita.
No arrests were reported and investigators did not believe alcohol played a role in the crash, Iwashita said. The southbound lanes of Beach Boulevard were temporarily closed.
The crash was under investigation.
