The gunshots rang out from another car, and a woman passenger was shot fatally in the chest early Monday.
As 6ABC in Philly reports, it happened around 2:15 a.m. Monday on the 4400 block of I Street in the City of Brotherly Love.
Investigators told 6ABC a white sedan with tinted windows was seen leaving the location.
The motive for the gunfire was not immediately known.
However, police are interviewing the driver of the car in which the woman was killed.
That driver crashed into two other cars after the gunfire rang out, but was not hurt.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia police.
