Woman struck by car in Warren County flown to local hospital - lehighvalleylive.com

A person struck Wednesday night by a car in Warren County was flown to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Washington Township police were called a little after 6 p.m. to Route 57/East Washington Avenue and Railroad Avenue in Washington for a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Penelope Taylor, 66, was trying to cross Route 57 without using a crosswalk, when she was struck bu a car driven by Theodore Alberta, 41, of Phillipsburg, township police said.

Taylor, of Franklin Township, was taken to a parking lot off Route 31, where a New Jersey State Police NorthStar helicopter arrived and flew her to a local hospital for treatment.

The Warren County Prosecutor Office’s SCART team was on scene as police investigated.
